Angel Beats!

My friend told me to watch Angel Beats! months ago but I had just finished it last week. Now, I wonder why I didn't watch it earlier. After finished watching it, I think this anime is good. It is funny and a little bit sad in the end. This anime has 13 episodes and 1 OVA.

Summary:
Otonashi wakes up in afterlife world without remember anything about his human life before he died. Then he meets Nakamura Yuri, leader of an organization called SSS, Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront). She invites him to be SSS member and later on he agrees. The purpose of this organization is to keep fighting against God because of all members' cruel fates in human life. This organization has a prime enemy, Angel or later known that her real name is Tachibana Kanade. Rumor says that everyone who befriends with her would get erased and disappear, however the rumor's not exactly right. Otonashi who realizes it first, befriends with her and invites her to join SSS. After some time, Otonashi regains his human memories and he finds what he wants to do, helping his friends to fulfill their dreams and pass on. Kanade joins Otonashi to do it. This mission's known by Yuri in short time. In the end, after working hard, SSS defeats mysterious shadow monsters and everyone manages to pass on except Otonashi and Kanade. Otonashi then tells Kanade that he loves her and wants to stay together in afterlife world to help other people to pass on. Then Kanade tells him the reason why she is in afterlife world. That is because she wants to thank the person who gave her a donor heart. She tells him that she realize that the person is Otonashi. She thank him and then pass on, leaves Otonashi. In the epilogue, Otonashi recognizes Kanade in human life after reincarnation while she is humming a song from a band from afterlife world and he tries to reaches her. In an alternative epilogue, Otonashi stays in afterlife world and helps people pass on.

Commentary:
After I heard Otonashi speaks some lines in the beginning of this anime, I realizes it's Kamiya Hiroshi. I'm not his big fan but I like his works, especially Miyaji Ryuunosuke in Starry Sky. Otonashi's voice is similar to Ryuunosuke's but Ryuunosuke's is deeper. In my opinion, the story is quite unusual since I don't watch this kind of anime often so I don't really know about it. The main problem of the story is anger to God and I think that is quite controversial. My favorite character is TK because he's so funny. He dances everywhere and often say English phrases which mostly quoted from pop cultures, but surprisingly doesn't understand English well. In my disappointment, this story doesn't have a perfect happy ending as I imagine. For me, the perfect ending is Otonashi will be with Kanade forever, but that doesn't happen. I love this anime's opening so much and the art is fantastic.

Found a creditless opening...
